GLOW Eindhoven 2009 featured “Abstrakte Formulierungen”, a light artwork by Siegrun Appelt in Eindhoven.
In the parking garage below the TD-building, small abstract paintings are placed. Unlike usual paintings, these artworks emit light and gradually change in appearance. The colors are generated by LEDs placed behind the canvas.
About Siegrun Appelt
Siegrun Appelt’s work revolves around perception. In some installations, she focuses on the physical aspects of perception, creating a sea of light that almost blinds the viewer. For GLOW, she has created a more intimate work.
