“Algorithmic Perfumery” by Frederik Duerinck received a Honorary Mention in the Interactive Art category of the Prix Ars Electronica 2020.
"What if every human could have their own personal scent?" In Algorithmic Perfumery, the world of scent is explored by using the visitor's input to train the creative capabilities of an automated system. Custom scents are created by a machine learning algorithm based on the unique data we feed it.
About Frederik Duerinck
Frederik Duerinck (NL) is a filmmaker and artist located in Breda. He is the lead designer of the award-winning multisensory installation Famous Deaths and is co-author of the book Sense of Smell.
