Sejong Park's “Birthday Boy” was honoured with an Award of Distinction at the Prix Ars Electronica 2004, category Computer Animation.
Birthday Boy is Sejong Park’s first 3D CGI film and one of the first films of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) to use digital pre-visualisation. During his time at AFTRS he also performed 3D animation and digital effects on four other student films.
About Sejong Park
Sejong Park (KR / AUS), a 2002/03 MA Digital Media (3D Animation) student at the AFTRS, directed and animated Birthday Boy as his major work for 2003. Birthday Boy is his first 3D CGI film. Sejong has worked as a 2D animator and is a published illustrator.
