“Flaechen [from the series Raumgeflechte]” by Julius Stahl received a Honorary Mention in the Digital Musics & Sound Art category of the Prix Ars Electronica 2010.
The installation consists of resonating wire walls hanging in the room. Spotlights project precise shadows of the wire walls onto the floor and the walls of the exhibition room. Visual convolutions of the figure are created.
About Julius Stahl
Julius Stahl (DE), born 1978, studied art history, music and comparative literature at the Technical University of Berlin form 2001 to 2006 and sound studies (MA) at the Berlin University of the Arts.
