Benthem Crouwel and Jólan van der Wiel created “Lightwaves”, a light artwork shown at Amsterdam Light Festival 2016 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
'Lightwaves' is an interactive installation that mimics the bioluminescence of certain marine algae. The algae flock together on the Dutch coastline to give it a special glow: they emit light when they move.
