“Mimetismo” by Stéphane Roy received a Honorary Mention in the Digital Musics & Sound Art category of the Prix Ars Electronica 1992.
The acoustic and electronic components of 'Mimetismo' interrupt and mimic each other, sometimes fusing within a sonic material in constant development. The guitar abandons its traditional role of soloist, its timbre dissolves within the electronic material.

Stéphane Roy (CDN), born 1959, has won numerous awards, including one from the NEWCOM competition 1989 in the USA, as well as awards in Italy and at Bourges; doctorate in composition.
