In 2003, the Prix Ars Electronica jury recognised “Stop Motion Studies” by David Crawford (Net Based Art) with an Award of Distinction.
The Stop Motion Studies extend my long-standing interest in narrative and, in particular, look at the subway as a stage upon which social dynamics and individual behavior are increasingly mediated by digital technology.
About David Crawford
David Crawford (USA) is an internationally recognized artist as well as a designer and teacher. As an artist, he has received numerous grants and honors. As a designer, Crawford has held posts at some of the most preeminent organizations in the world.
