USED Clothing

by Martin Mairinger

🏆 Grant · Prix Ars Electronica 2005

Martin Mairinger's “USED Clothing” was honoured with a Grant at the Prix Ars Electronica 2005, category The Next Idea.

“… but he would have rather starved than part with his cape and Polish fur hat, which he also knew how to wear with enormous grace.” (Gottfried Keller, Kleider machen Leute, 1874) Clothes enable people to express their identity visually. One of the first impressions we have of others is their style of dress.
