Every October the Festival of Lights illuminates Berlin's best-known landmarks — the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, the TV Tower and Humboldt University among them — with 3D video-mapping shows and colour lighting. The festival also runs an international video-mapping award, and most locations are free to visit.
